999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors iOS Out Now in Japan, English Version Coming Autumn
The critically acclaimed 2009/10 DS title, 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors is available now for iOS platforms in Japan. Both the iPhone and iPad versions cost 1000 yen each ($9.99 USD). The new iOS version features high resolution graphics, improved sound/music quality, a new flow chart option and removes the "escape the room" to better focus on the story.
On the subject of a English release, Kotaro Uchikoshi reveals that a English version should release by Autumn. But if you really want to play it now, keep in mind you need a Japanese iTunes account, and the iPad version isn't compatible with the iPhone.
999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors tells the story of 9 people who have been abducted by a mysterious kidnapper who uses the alias "Zero." They find themselves on a ship and are told that they have nine hours to escape before the ship sinks beneath the waves.
