Rumor - No DualShock for PS4

CVG published a new report today concerning the PS4 controller. The report states the next-gen PlayStation console won’t feature the well-known DualShock design. Sony has apparently been experimenting with a number of different models, and has even looked into biometric sensors and an LCD touch screen.

- Information received from a “senior games studio source working on an upcoming Sony game”

- Controller has undergone numerous iterations

- Few of these resemble the DualShock build

- Extensive experiments within Sony’s R&D department

- Source: versions of the controller include biometric sensors on the grips and an LCD touch screen

- Second source: PlayStation engineers are “trying to emulate the same user interface philosophies as the PS Vita”

- Sony may be tightly integrating its portable and home systems

- DualShock could be compatible with the console as a secondary controller like Wii U’s Wiimotes
