Final Fantasy XIV Closing On November 11th

On November 11th, Square Enix will be closing all of Final Fantasy XIV’s current worlds. A few days prior – on October 31st – character data will be saved for the final time. Each player’s character data will be transferred over to A Realm Reborn.

Square Enix has also started the first of four alpha testing phases for A Realm Reborn today, and each will consist of a number of “test and tweak” cycles. The company will be testing its fundamental mechanics, and all Final Fantasy XIV accounts can apply to become a tester
